On Target-FTS, LLC offers the highest quality courses in firearms training, concealed carry handgun safety, and private lessons across Central Florida. On Target-FTS prides itself in providing versatile and practical instruction in a safe environment. Our training focuses on the fundamentals of firearms safety, proper handling and defense.
 

Owner of On Target-FTS LLC, Ray Shashaty is a retired law enforcement officer.

A native of New York City, Ray attended the NYPD police academy in 1981. Upon graduation, he worked in patrol for his whole career. Ray served as a patrol officer assigned to Emergency Services, after he retired he was CPR AED First Aid Instructor, and Government contractor. Started teaching Firearm safety in 2013
 

Using real-world examples and experience, Ray brings a unique perspective to his classes. Ray is certified as a Nationals Rifle Association Firearms Instructor, US Law Shield Firearms Instructor, as well as a Mace Pepper Spray Non-Lethal Instructor.

Ray’s passion to teaching compelled him to focus on training women, not just to learn how to shoot but to reach a level of confidence with a focus on firearm safety and self defense. He also offers consulting services and training to local and corporate organizations.

 When Ray started teaching women how to shoot, and buy their first gun, he could see that there wasn’t an all-inclusive place they could go for information that was reliable, approachable, non-intimidating, and geared towards women. Some gun ranges, firearms salespeople, and even some instructors proved to be completely inadequate at preparing them to make informed decisions about firearms.
